We all used to go to this game store down at Lagoa Center called Reinos. I remember visiting all the way from 2003 to 2011, until I moved out and, some time later, it closed.
I remember I did a drawing course there on early 2006 and had some friends with me, a few from the Japanese course, and one other was a bandmate. Every Saturday I would draw and then buy some edition of Rurouni Kenshin from the vendor downstairs. The drawing happened upstairs, with a teacher from São Paulo.
We did a zine by the end and my drawing went up the cover. It was nice.
I remember it fondly because there was where some of my hobbies coalesced, first RPGs, then TCGs, mangas. There was this once when they organized a small otacon where my band played. Without me, then, since I was on a trip at the time.
Perhaps my geek generation will remember it more or less the same.
